Renault’s 2025 Euro NCAP report for the latest Clio (5-door, including hybrid and 1.2 turbo) gives it a balanced safety profile: 79% for adult occupants, 82% for children, 80% for vulnerable road users and 73% for safety assist. Structurally, the cabin remains stable in frontal crashes and side impacts are very well managed, with top scores in the barrier test. Weak points are mainly chest protection (rated weak to marginal for front occupants) and the absence of a centre airbag in far-side impacts. Whiplash protection is good, and the car includes modern post-crash and emergency features such as advanced eCall and multi-collision braking. On the active safety side, the Clio offers a solid package of driver assists: traffic-sign-based intelligent speed assistance, lane keeping and emergency lane keeping, autonomous emergency braking that performs well with cars and cyclists and adequately with pedestrians, plus a camera-based driver monitoring system that tracks fatigue and distraction at speed. For children, the car scores well thanks to good dynamic protection in frontal and side tests, correct installation of child restraints and a switchable front airbag, even though it lacks child-presence detection. Overall, the 2025 Clio lands as a well-equipped, modern small car with a few notable gaps (chest protection, no centre airbag) but no major red flags in its safety performance. Do you like it?
