This patch was created while I was working through the manual for the 4MS Spectral Multiband Resonator. Suddenly there was something that inspired me. I particularly liked its simplicity. That's why it turned out to be a very simple patch. While I was doing that, I felt like playing over it with the piano. Just a few improvised notes that remained completely unprocessed. In the end, I used my AKAI CS-705D cassette deck for the first time, which I got from my lovely wife. Due to its simplicity, I'll leave it as a side note in my modular diary. You can see my whole System here: https://modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patch Notes: Voice 1: Mutable Instruments Marbels sequenced the 4MS SMR. T1/X1 goes into the odds and T3/X3 into the evens. Audio goes into a mult. One copy into the ES9, a second into the Strymon Magneto and then into the ES9. This allows me to record and process both signals separately. The Rotate input is modulated by a square wave LFO (Xaoc Devices Batumi) to get different combinations of tones from the scale. The volume faders of the evens of the SMR are modulated by different speed triangle LFOs from DivKids Ochd. Voice 2: Lubadh plays a shorter and pitched down version of what the 4MS SMR plays. Voice 3: The Erica Synth Black Sequencer sequenced a Mutabele Instruments Rings going into a Shakmat Dual Dagger and then into the Qu-Bit Data Bender. The pitch of the Rings is slightly modulated by a triangle LFO from Batumi. The Data Bender is set to full wet. It is in micro mode. The audio goes from the Data Bender into a Quad VCA where the volume is modulated by a Xaoc Devices Zadar. From there it goes into the ES9. Noise in the background: The sequence from the Black Sequencer is split in the Intellijel Shifty. From there, Trigger/CV goes into the Intellijel Plonk. This plays a noisy clap preset. The audio goes into the Qu-Bit Nautilus, which is also set to full wet. Several delay lines are set as well as the internal wavefolding. Piano With my electric piano I recorded a Spitfire LABS piano in Bitwig via Midi. Field Recordings Bitwig also runs a few samples from field recordings. I used Eventide Space (HALL-Algorithm) for Reverb. I mixed & mastered with the following plug-ins: Oeksound Soothe2 Fabfilter Pro-Q Fabfilter C2 Fabfilter Saturn 2 Wavesfactory Trackspacer 2 Ozone 11 Limiter AKAI CS-705D for Tapecharacteristics
