Apologies for the colouring of this video, I had some technical difficulties while I was editing and had to do a whole work around to not lose all my work and ended up with everything completely blown out. Everything started crashing after I added the FINAL touch - needless to say I was panicking. So I'm just glad I still have a video and it'll be ready in time for the 20th, even though it's looking wonky af. NOW. RELEVANCE: Authortube is an incredible resource for Authors, not only as a means to learn and grow, especially vicariously through those more experienced, but to connect with like minded individuals, and watch the process in real time (ergo, not feel alone when things get tough). These lessons hit home for me, mostly because I started to discover them once I strayed from the educational side of Authortube and started watching the more candid experiential side of Authortube (except in some part via Abbie Emmons' videos). Honestly, it's made me less critical about my own work, and the work around me. It's not to say that I won't need that critical/analytical side of myself during writing and when it comes to editing. But at extreme levels it can definitely be disheartening, and I prefer to keep things light hearted. Especially because creative writing is a hobby of mine. I hope you enjoyed the lessons I shared in this video, and if you have any authortubers who share their experience and occasionally have little golden nuggets such as these, please leave a comment below so I can immediately binge their channel.
