MELBREAK - Wild Camping in the Beautiful Buttermere Valley

Wild camp above the beautiful Buttermere valley with Paul; A Cumbrian Lad Outdoors. We set off from Loweswater for the steep climb up While Crag and on to Mellbreak. We pitched up (me in my MLD Duomid, and Paul in his Scarp 1) on the eastern side of Mellbreak at 1620ft, with fantastic views down to Crummock Water, Buttermere, and the surrounding mountains. Our return route took us south to the wonderful Scale Force waterfall before following the lake shore path back to Loweswater. A 10 mile walk with 2000ft of ascent. It was a real pleasure spending time with Paul. He's a top bloke.
