Budget Garden Hack: Row-Cover Hoops with What You Already Have #fallgardening #zone6 Hey guys — quick garden hack from the row where my collards live. Today I’m showing you how to make simple, budget-friendly row-cover frames using what you already have: green garden stakes and irrigation tubing. No fancy kit. No waiting on shipping. Just a few tools and five minutes per hoop. What you’ll need Green garden stakes (2 per hoop) Irrigation tubing (a flexible line/pipe) Pipe cutters or a small hand saw Hammer (to set stakes) How it works Drive two stakes across from each other at the edges of your bed. Slide the tubing over one stake, bend it, and slip it onto the other stake. Adjust height for taller plants by lifting the hoop up the stake. Drape your row cover, clip it, and you’re frost/bug ready. This works in raised beds or in-ground rows, and it’s perfect for quick protection against pests, light frost, or wind. I’m all about using what’s on hand — fast, affordable, and done before dinner. 👉 Next video: I’ll show you how to make a story pole for repeat spacing in your greenhouse or garden so your frames line up every time. • Stop Eyeballing It: Fast, Accurate Cuts wi...
