Welcome to Raohe Night Market, one of Taipei’s oldest and most iconic foodie destinations! Located right next to the stunning Ciyou Temple, this market is a narrow, 600-meter gauntlet of some of the best street food in the world. In this video, I’m eating my way through the stalls to find the must-try snacks, from Michelin-recommended buns to sweet local desserts. 🍴 What I Ate: Fuzhou Pepper Buns (胡椒餅): The legendary first stop! Watch them bake these peppery, pork-filled buns inside traditional clay ovens. Deep Fried Milk: A surprising treat that’s crispy on the outside with a warm, custard-like center. Pineapple Buns (Polo Bun): Golden, buttery, and perfectly sweet—the ultimate comfort snack. Sheng Jian Bao (Pan-Fried Soup Buns): Juicy pork buns with a crispy, golden bottom that burst with soup in every bite. "Cheap" Street Pancakes: Simple, nostalgic, and flaky—proof that you don’t need to spend a lot to eat well here! 📍 Location & Travel Info Address: Raohe St, Songshan District, Taipei City. How to get there: Take the Green Line (Line 3) to Songshan Station. Take Exit 5, and the market entrance is right next to the temple. Opening Hours: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Best to arrive by 6:00 PM to beat the heaviest crowds). Pro-Tip: Bring plenty of cash, as most stalls do not accept cards. Also, follow the flow of traffic (usually counter-clockwise) to stay out of the way! #RaoheNight Market #TaipeiStreetFood #TaiwanTravel #PepperBuns #TaipeiEats #NightMarketFood #TaiwanFoodie #Songshan
