During my long stay in Chiang Mai, I encountered an unexpected issue when checking out from my accommodation. On the check-out day, everything seemed to go smoothly without additional charges, thanks to my careful preparation. However, the real problem arose when I tried to get my deposit back. Even though the accommodation confirmed there were no issues, the refund was significantly delayed. It took a full week for the deposit to be automatically processed. This was quite frustrating, as I had to wait anxiously without any clear timeline for the refund. Platforms handling long-term stays should be more proactive in ensuring timely deposit returns. After checking out, I stayed at Orchid Chiang Mai Hotel, which had a deep swimming pool and a relaxing atmosphere. I’ll be sharing a detailed review of this hotel soon.
