In this video, I'll explain how you can use the FX, namely Reverb and Echo, for an "emergency exit" transition in Serato, either Serato DJ Pro or Serato Lite. As one DJ said, "When in doubt, reverb out." While you would not want to use this transition all the time, a few times throughout the night is fine and will quickly allow you to switch BPMs or genres. Reverb Out uses the reverb FX to end a track (by cutting the fader), while Echo Out uses the echo unit to end a track, giving you a long tail to start the next track on.
