We had an interview with Saadatu Falila, the Managing Partner of Hamu Legal, an innovative multi-disciplinary firm based in Abuja. Her practice is focused on the intersection of law, policy and emerging technology. Falila is many things, and wears many hats. With an in-depth understanding of the Nigerian legal system, she has advised clients across various industries including banking, fintech, health, hospitality, real estate, energy, intellectual property, asset acquisition, and project financing, thereby outlining her passion for Nation Building. She has cutting edge understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for companies and businesses in Nigeria. In this episode of Building from Africa, Saadatu broke down how she started her legal firm from scratch, her bold steps, and how her prior experience working with a law firm taught her hard work, how to set the bar in making impact, and how to keep pushing despite the fact that the Law profession is not a get rich quick pathway. According to her, these experiences have been instrumental in her capacity to guide entrepreneurs toward building successful businesses and have equipped her with valuable skills in managing people. At Hamu Legal, they do not only assist in guiding businesses and forming partnerships, but also making sure that they follow regulations.
