Welcome to my channel where I am going to show you how to make the delicious and mouth-watering Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani. This traditional dish is a staple in the city of Hyderabad and is loved by people all over the world. Ingredients: 1kg chicken 2 cups basmati rice 2 onions, finely chopped 2 tomatoes, finely chopped 2 cups yogurt 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste -2 tbsp red chili powder -1 tsp turmeric powder -1 tsp cumin powder -1 tsp coriander powder -1 tsp garam masala powder -Salt to taste -2 cups water -2 tbsp ghee -1 tsp saffron -1 cup fried onions -2 cups mixed vegetables (optional) Steps: -In a large pot, add the chicken and enough water to cover it. Bring it to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. -Cook the chicken for about 20 minutes or until it is cooked through. -Drain the chicken and reserve the broth for later use. -In a separate pan, heat the ghee and sauté the onions until golden brown. -Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute. -Add the tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt to taste. -Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil starts to separate. -Add the yogurt and cook for a few minutes. -Add the chicken, mixed vegetables (if using) and 2 cups of the reserved broth. Bring to a boil. -Add the rice and stir well. -Add the saffron, fried onions and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil. -Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid. -Cook for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed. -Remove from heat and let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
