This is a basic cash flow projection and return analysis for an LNG shipping project. The duration of the project is five years. We will assume that we purchase the vessel with a mix of debt and equity, charter the vessel to an oil & gas major under a five year time charter contract, operate the vessel during the duration of the project, and sell the vessel in the end of the 5th year. We will work together to build the cash flow waterfall for this case study and calculate the IRR.
