After taking nearly a year off from long-form YouTube videos, life got busy and I focused mostly on short-form content… but it felt good to be back out on Lake Simcoe doing what I love. I've tailored this channel to focus more on ice fishing content and you can count on me for that! I also have some ideas for some warmer month videos too, but I've really been enjoying the short form content lately. It just fits a bit better with life. In this video, I head out ice fishing for Lake Simcoe whitefish and capture some incredible underwater footage. The fish were extremely finicky most of the day — watching them inspect the bait and refuse it over and over. Then out of nowhere… one of the most aggressive whitefish I’ve ever filmed charges in and tries to inhale the bait while chasing a goby. After landing a beautiful whitefish, I bring it home, clean it up, and cook a special Valentine’s Day dinner with my kids. There’s nothing better than going from ice to table.
