District Apostle Noel Edward Barnes retired by Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider during a divine service in Silvertown (Cape Town, South Africa) on Sunday, 18 December 2016, after serving as an Apostle for more than 30 years. From December 1996 until his retirement, he led the then Cape District, supported by 11 Apostles and 24 Bishops. Upon his ordination as District Apostle in 1996, Noel Barnes expressed his heartfelt desire to lead “a Happy Bride” home. Fittingly, the final anthem for this divine service, A Happy Bride, was composed for the occasion by John Rodriques, music leader of the New Apostolic Church Southern Africa. Feel our love!
