Landmarks on route include a pillar-stone, a giant cromlech, the Ballycorus led mine, the Great Sugar Loaf Mountain, Johnnie Fox’s pub, the Knockree An Óige Youth Hostel and churches including Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Kiltiernan and the Old Chapel, Glencullen. The walk ends at the wooded demesne country of Powerscourt and Charleville. ‘Mountain and Meadow’ was a summer programme for enthusiasts of the Dublin and Wicklow countryside.
