This video was created so that all Theresians, wherever they may be, can take this journey back home to our alma mater. May we all find our way back to STC and rediscover our Theresian spirit. Matthew 5:16 Sic luceat lux vestra! 2007 STCQC Alumnae Homecoming ---------------------------------------- A Theresian Homecoming 0:00 We start with the walkway leading to the Banawe entrance. 0:11 We see the NOH (National Orthodpedic Hospital) and the new concrete Prep building built in place of our old wooden shack. The old capiz sliding windows were kept to retain the old charm of the building. 0:15 We move on to the adjacent ballet room where Lisa Macuja and many of our ballerinas practiced their plies! 0:20After a quick look at the Prep playground, 0:32 there's the Canteen which still looks the same way as we remember it ... 0:38 and behind it is the garden beside the Social Hall. 0:44 In the grade school grounds, 0:49 we are greeted by those stately old acacia trees in the lawn walkway (now declared an official Heritage Tree). We learned to be wary whenever we walked under those trees, remember? 1:00 We held countless hours practicing under the sun for the field demonstrations right in that grade school lawn 1:05 We have a good view of the familiar STC facade with the logo and MCMLV sign towering over us. 1:08 We enter the lobby fronting the Social Hall, the venue of many school productions. 1:10 We see the corridors where we used to play jackstones. 1:14 Now up to the steps we go towards the Chapel, where many significant events in our lives were held ... First Communion, Grade School Graduation, High School Graduation. 1:16 We move to the wing where the Information Desk, 1:20 corridor of the Clinic and Guidance Office 1:26 Next shot is a circular view of the Old Gym (with a new roof). basketball courts, De Meester's Residence, HS walkway. 1:36 Let's move on to the the high school grounds where our teachers welcome us: Ms. Calata, Ms. Yamat, Ms. Yalung, Ms. Paragas, Ms. Valdivia, Ms. Noval, Ms. San Andres, Ms. Castro, Ms. Bolivar, Mrs. Mesa (grade school), and Mrs. Sacdalan. (their video greetings will be posted in a separate page) 1:54 After fleeting images of the garden/pond in front of the HS Principal's Office, we move on to the cafeteria, the basement gym, 2:00 and on to the corridors (where the students are taking their exams), and the classrooms filled with a new generation of Theresians. 2:38 We end this tour with some students heading towards the HS Quadrangle where our Homecoming Festivities will be held. Also visible is the new High School wing where the STAA office, IMC (media center) and the new library are located.
