Hawk is one of the new challengers introduced in this Street Fighter II revision. He is a Native American from Mexico that seeks revenge from the Shadaloo organization led by M. Bison. During the tournament, he is attempting to reach M. Bison in order to stop him and reclaim the lands of his people. T. Hawk is the second grappler in the series, but he is different from Zangief in a variety of ways. T. Hawk is a character with multiple input type. His Tomahawk Buster is a motion technique that makes him rush in a diagonal trajectory to hit his opponent, similar to Ken's shoryuken. While airborne, he can also perform his Condor Dive technique that consists of quickly rushing to his opponent head first. This move is performed while pressing all three punches at the same time. His Hawk Slam is his signature move that consists of grabbing his opponent and swirl him/her a few times before slamming their head on the ground. This technique is a 360 motion move that requires precision to perform. T. Hawk is a powerful character. His move , especially the Hawk Slam, deal a lot of damage and he is able to perform combo involving his Tomahawk Buster. Dues to his size and hitbox however, it can be difficult for him to close in against his opponent, especially those with a projectile or those with a counter to his Condor Dive. His main strategy against the CPU is to catch them into the Hawk Slam or cross them up with basic move followed by the Tomahawk Buster.
