Fujifilm X-Half Video Test (Yep, don't buy this camera for video)

This is the new X-Half camera from Fujifilm. As you know this is a fun little half frame film style camera. And pretty sure 99% of the people getting this camera mainly for photos. But is the video any good? I mean first I wasn’t expecting this camera to have video mode. But since Fujifilm have included this feature. I’m curious to find that out. First of all, this camera doesn’t do 4K video. And of course it doesn’t do 10Bit color too. It only shoots 8Bit 1440 x 1080 video upto 24p. 48p when you combined 2 clip. And one thing I was really surprised is, it allows you set your manual exposure. This is a huge deal, because a camera isn’t focusing on video. Like the Ricoh GRIII. They could have just left everything auto. So during the test, I had to leave the shutter speed as AUTO. As I couldn’t put any NDs on the lens. (Smallrig just released an ND solution for this camera). Also this camera doesn’t have any Log picture profile. So a lot of the shots were very contrasty. Okay, over all this camera is really bad video camera. Please don’t buy this camera for video. I just wanted to test it for fun. Over all, I was not expecting an 1” sensor would look that bad. It’s worse than a phone. My Sony ZV-1 4K video was amazing. I’m not too sure what was the story behind that. The video reminds me the Sony bloggie camera back in 2010. Maybe Fujifilm just want you to have fun with it. Quality is not that important on this camera. So once again, please don’t buy this camera for video. The video auto focus was bad, it keeps hunting for no reason. There is a headphone adapter, but you can’t put an external mic. So not sure what was that for.
