What Happens In The Morning At Kents "MOST Famous Railway"? Featuring A Footplate Ride With "SAMSON"

So this week I was invited down to the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway bright and early at 6:30am to capture the full light-up process of "Northern Chief" & "Samson" & what it takes to get the locomotives ready for the days service on the yellow timetable. Capturing this unique aspect of the railway was truely phenomenal & speaking to the drivers of the day it was an absolute pleasure listening to how they started and progressed up the ladder within the railway. After that, I hopped on the first train of the day to Dungeness as was told this this is the best way to catch both locos crossing each other back at New-Romney. But the day had more in store than I expected... After getting back to New Romney following a stop at Dungeness, I was told there was a surprise waiting for me at Hythe and it turned out to be an incredible cab ride behind 'Samson' back to New Romney, this truely was an experience to be had. To feel heat & power of these little locomotives was breathtaking that haven't changed since being built way back in 1927 whilst having a good chit-chat and laugh with the Driver (Best day ever). After the cab-ride I explored New Romney, visiting the carriage workshop museum and the railway exhibition, packed with fascinating displays and railway history that i would highly recommend to have a look. All in all, a week after the day out it still takes my breath away and would recommend anyone of any age to visit this amazing railway that is going from strength to strength!
