Nagaur festival which is also known as Ramdevji Cattle Fair is the 2nd largest cattle festival in India attracting thousands of people. The most notable things to watch in this festival is that around two lakh animals including horses, cows, bullocks, oxen and camels are gathered at the cattle fair for the purpose of trade. These cattle are accompanied by their owners clad in colorful and ethnic rajasthani clothes. A lot of activities like folk singing, folk dance, Tug of War, Camel races, Bullock Races, Cock fights, Juggling, Puppet Dances, Campfire, Story Telling and many more are held over a period of four days. Some other attractions include the Mirchi bazaar (largest red-chilly market of India), wooden items, iron-crafts and camel leather accessories. The RTDC puts up a Tourist Village to provide accommodation for the tourists visiting Nagaur during the fair. Nagaur is well connected with road and rail to all major cities. Nearest railway stations are Merta (80 km) and nearest airport is Jodhpur(140 km).
