"Zonder vrees en zonder blaam" EN| The Koninklijke Marechaussee (Royal Military Constabulary/Military Police) is the main Gendarmerie force of The Netherlands and one of 4 corps in the Dutch armed forces. it was founded on the 26th of October 1814 and the name "Marechaussee" comes from a replacement of the French Gendarmerie, which William I wanted to replace with the older french name of "Maréchaussées", replaced by the french in 1791. It's task is to assure escort to military convoys, border controls (being known for their "interceptions" by bike and escort of stopped vehicles until the checkpoints), traffic police and public order.
