This time we visited Kalpitiya which is located in the North West part of Sri Lanka. Kalpitiya is a coastal town located in western region of Puttalam District. It is rapidly developing as a tourist destination with a diversity of habitats ranging from bar reefs, salt pans, salt marshes, mangroves swamps, and vast sand dune beaches. Kalpitiya is the most famous place for kitesurfing in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately we were little far from kitesurfing sites to capture them in action. Locals mainly do fishing to earn money and fishing boats and huts are common to see along the beaches. Blue Lagoon Kalpitiya was our resting spot for the day. The resort offers exclusive luxury deluxe chalets and deluxe rooms within a lush garden and a wide pool facing the lagoon. We were offered one of the exclusive superior chalets for our family while our parents stayed in a standard family room. If you’re looking for an authentic luxury seafood experience with a variety of food THIS is the place to be. The food was amazing and absolutely delicious. It was truly impressive. Everything was clean and neat and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However my only concern was due to fishery the flies were unavoidable and it is a common challenge all the hotels face along the beach strip so do remember to close your room doors at all the times. We had a smooth beautiful stay and we would highly recommend this place to anyone. Hope you would enjoy my small travel vlog as much as i did.
