This is an analysis into the idea that Icon Veneration is christologically backed, the information comes primarily from Theodore the Studites book "on the holy icons". i go into detail to see how if you reject the idea that Christ can be depicted it is very dangerous because Christ had a visible form, and all visible forms can be depicted. then i move onto the idea that Christ has an artificial image, either in potentiallity or actuality, e.g. a material depiction of Christ, or even his shadow is an artificial image. Then the final premise is the idea that the veneration is one between the prototype and the artificial image. meaning if I venerate the icon of Christ i am necessarily venerating Christ. this is proven from simply logic, because this premise is granted for religious representations such as the cross, the Gospels, and civil images such as the kings image, and family images, and any artificial image. So what is the reason that it is not granted for the image of Christ.
