I find myself in quarter guard a lot lately, often from bottom turtle, but sometimes from mount. I like it because it’s a position that gets neglected and so having a ready answer or two from quarter guard is often sufficient, even against good opponents. It’s important to stay on your side and not get flattened. I feel like I can stay safely in quarter guard safely for quite a while until my opponent gives me an opening to either run my deep half sweeps or, if I get bored I give them a gift wrap and then unwrap it to transition to a more standard half guard.
