ISTMA Europe Berlin: The tool and mould making industry has to completely reinvent itself

More than 120 representatives of toolmaking associations and industry companies from 18 countries gathered in Berlin to discuss the global challenges facing tool and mould making companies in Europe – and how the industry can position itself for the future. At the invitation of the European branch of the global umbrella organisation of tool and mould making associations, the International Special Tooling and Machining Association (ISTMA), the participants gathered at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK for their workshop. The event was organised by the Association of German Tool and Mould Makers (VDWF), with support from Fraunhofer IPK and sponsors AHP Merkle, ETMM, Grob, IKOffice, Knarr, Moulding Expo, Oerlikon HRSflow, Tebis, United Machining and WBA Aachen.
