"Bangalore" by Bones Fork

"Bangalore" is a song that carried the temporary title of "Song 4" during the writing and development process. It was inspired by a bass riff our fill-in bassist, James, was messing with at our early COVID hideaway/studio: The Safe House. James moved on to be a federal agent, and we were on the hunt for our forever bassist. Once we found our talented brother Joe Felice, he took Bangalore to a totally new level, revolutionizing it into what it has become today. Now with our second album, Beautiful Circle, being released, Bangalore has been cemented into the funky banger it was always meant to be. The song takes its formal name from the Bangalore Torpedo, a mine designed in India and first used in WWI. It was designed to breach wire obstacles and was made popularly famous in the movie Saving Private Ryan during the beach invasion scenes. While the song's lyrics aren't literally about an explosive mine, it's certainly speaks to the effort and fortitude needed to break through obstacles.
