This is a hard hike! The first 2 to 3 miles is not that tough and that's where all the pools of water are. So check that out for sure! The summit on the other hand is not for the faint of heart. It is rated as difficult and it freaking difficult. I am feeling it the next day as I type this. Good thing it's New Years eve and I can rest up for two more days. In case you are curious, I did not get picked up hitchhiking until many miles back toward town. An upstanding American Marine picked me up and drove me into town. Nice guy named Sam I only saw 3 other people summiting the day I went. I did take a bath in one of the pools on my way down and boy was that refreshing!
