The issue of jails and prisons is an important one. Inmates have been notoriously poorly treated in jails. Unfortunately, the public at large may not be aware of how bad the conditions are at the jails. There is not enough coverage of this issue and not a lot of public awareness being brought to this subject. Recently, a horrifying video from an incident inside the Maplehurst Correctional Complex was disclosed in the media outlets. That video created a lot of heat and it shocked the public. In this episode of Who Cares?! I chat with Howard Sapers, who has decades of experience working in the correctional system. Mr. Sapers knows all about the jail and prison issues and in 2018 made recommendations to help improve this situation. In this fascinating and interesting interview, I chat with Mr. Sapers about the Maplehurst video. The context of that video and what led to the horrifying incident that was captured on video.
