It got a little creepy here and there, but that's what made it interesting for me. The villain, Starlight Glimmer, was a little boring in this episode, but I think she could potentially be very interesting in the future. We actually don't know much about her; how does she know all that magic? Why did she want everyone to be "equal"? What did she want with those cutie marks? I really hope she returns so that these questions can be answered. Or maybe they'll never mention her again. Who knows. Something I've noticed many people complaining about is how this episode is anti-communism or whatever. I don't think it is; I think the episode is trying to say that you don't gain equality by removing people's talents and skills. The fact is that everyone is different and you need to acknowledge those differences. That is ultimately what enables us to get along and prosper (or as they say in the episode, be good friends). What about the song? Definitely not the best. But I really don't mind because of the town its supposed to represent. Remember how the town's baked goods (bads) and clothing were all so bland? Maybe it's fitting that their theme song is like that too. On its own, the song is bad, but when placed in the context of the episode, it's awesome and it definitely makes the whole situation even more creepy. This song was pretty easy to transcribe. I wasn't able to release it yesterday because I was spending time with my girlfriend. Oh yeah, did I tell you? I got a girlfriend! We started dating about two months ago.
