New forensic evidence has revealed that the terrorists behind the March 2024 attack at Crocus City Hall were under the influence of powerful narcotics during the massacre, according to documents reviewed by Russian state news agency TASS. The attackers — Saidokram Rachabalizoda, Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, and Muhammadsobir Faizov — tested positive for mephedrone, a synthetic stimulant, shortly after the mass shooting that left 149 people dead, 609 injured, and caused over $76 million in damages. Only one of the four main suspects, Shamsiddin Fariduni, was found to be sober at the time. He is also the only one to fully confess and express remorse. According to testimony, the attackers claimed they were given an unknown liquid laced with drugs just before the assault. After consuming it, they said they believed they were “communicating with the warriors of Allah.” The terrorists were captured the following day in the Bryansk Region near the Ukrainian border. The FSB later detained more alleged accomplices in a broad counterterrorism operation. In total, 19 people are facing trial in a military court for direct or logistical involvement, while investigations continue into six additional suspects, including two believed to be the main organizers. Igor Trunov, a lawyer representing 95 victims, confirmed the presence of narcotics in the attackers’ blood, suggesting this detail may influence the legal proceedings ahead. This video dives deep into the emerging details, forensic evidence, and the wider implications of Russia's deadliest terrorist attack in over a decade.
