ATHENS | The Acropolis

In this video, we woke up to our first day in Athens. We could just make out the Acropolis from our Airbnb rooftop. Sunny skies and warm temperatures brought us to a local park to enjoy sandwiches flowering trees. Soon after, we stopped into a coffee shop for some cinnamon rolls before stopping back at the Airbnb. Recharged, we made our way across town to the start of our trek to the acropolis. Paired with the Rick Steve’s tour, we continued our trend of listening to our own walking tours. What a view it was! The contrast in the style and age of the Parthenon compared to most of what we’d just seen in Rome was striking. Our day ended with some of the best (and not last) tastes of Mediterranean food. To top it off, we made our last stop for gelato. Enjoy!
