In this instructional pottery video you will learn how to trim a lid using a wheel thrown jar as the chuck! I think this is a great method because it allows you to make aesthetic decisions more quickly and easily while you work, and you only have to center your jar once! You will learn how to center the piece on the wheel, two methods for attaching the piece to the wheel and my approach to trimming a finial/knob, one of my favorite parts of any lidded form.
