Game Info --------------------------------------------------- Developer: Software Creations Publisher: Taito Year of Release: 1990 Game Review & Impressions --------------------------------------------------- Another game I didn't know existed until recently, the NES conversion of this pseudo-sequel to Taito's Renegade turned out to be a serviceable beat 'em up. Better known on the 8-bit home computers of the day, the NES port edges out the C64 of the Spectrum versions in terms of gameplay and feels closer in style to that of Double Dragon than either of its counterparts. However, what I really wanted to experience was the Tim Follin soundtrack. Tim's work on the C64 SID chip was nothing short of legendary, but his tunesmithing skills, if this game was anything to go by, were equally impressive! In all honesty, the game doesn't really deserve music this damned good - those guitar funk riffs are something else!
