Dr Takalani Mulaudzi-Masuku who is currently a lecturer at The University of the Western Cape in the Department of Biotechnology dropped by to chat to us about her exciting career and dishing out advice for inspiring scientists. Sinawo Mzinga a 26 year who hails from East London in the Eastern Cape shared his inspiring journey in the food industry. Mzinga has a National Diploma in Food Technology from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and he is currently working as a Quality Assurance Supervisor. Eskom Expo For Young Scientist participant Phoebe Mgxaji from Curro Sitari School made the country proud when she won two medals in a Beijing competition for her Food Labeling project. Mgxaji believes food labels are filled with too much jargon with little nutritional information that is actually understandable. To talk about this further she joins Sinalo and Amy on the yellow couches. Food security remains a major issue in South Africa to help us unpack this topic we will be joined by Linda Jackson from Food Focus
