Bawa Muhaiyaddeen is a sheikh, or spiritual teacher, who originated from Sri Lanka and came to the United States in the 1970s. His teachings have impacted people across a variety of religious and spiritual backgrounds. Muhammad Raheem Bawa Muhaiyaddeen was a mystic known for teachings that transcended cultural and religious barriers. His teachings incorporated aspects from all religions, though he predominantly identified as a Sufi Sheikh. His central message focused on the unity and oneness of God. As Bawa Muhaiyaddeen himself said, "All the races in the world belong to one race, the human race. God is also one." He argued that despite the multiplicity of names, languages, and rituals we associate with God, we are all connecting with the same divine source. In this video, we delve into how Bawa Muhaiyaddeen dismissed the importance of religious labels, and instead emphasized the essence of God. He noted, "The children of one father and mother have separated into millions of divisions, and they have separated the one God into many." If you've ever wondered whether individuals from different religious backgrounds are connecting with the same divine entity, this episode aims to offer insight into that question. We will examine Bawa's view that the ultimate divine source should be recognized as a constant, regardless of our religious or spiritual path. As Bawa stated, "The One without form or shape should be planted in every inner heart." The discourses in this video were derived from the book, "Golden Verses of a Sufi Sheikh" For more information on Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, consider visiting the Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Fellowship's website. https://www.bmf.org/ Peace and blessings be with you, thanks for watching, hope this was useful.
