In this video, you'll see three of CR&R's newly acquired trucks from the City of Newport Beach. As part of the contract, which began on the day most of this video was filmed, the company who won the contract was required to buy the city's fleet of trucks for $1 million. The first truck you may have seen in a specially requested video by the driver almost 4 months ago. That is truck 5007 from the city fleet. The second truck is manned by Ryan, a driver who worked as a temporary refuse worker for Newport years ago. He went from there, to driving street sweepers for Athens, then for CR&R, and finally residential trash in Orange before coming here. The truck he drives is Chris's old truck, 5036, renumbered as 53308. The final truck is Jim's old truck, 5032, now 53304. Octavio is behind the wheel, along with a temp who normally worked on Dean's old truck (5033). The temp guy wasn't the most comfortable with being on camera, since he didn't really want to be known as a trash man. He had even asked me if I could blur out faces, which I can't. But you can hardly even see his face in the video, so it shouldn't be a problem. Part 2 coming up next. -Filmed on March 31st and April 7th, 2014 with a Sony DSC-HX50V -Filmed on Balboa Peninsula Point and Newport Shores in Newport Beach, CA © 2014 Sanitation94 Videos
