David Cameron: Rooting out the 'rot of corruption' in U.K.

During David Cameron's South East Asia trip, he gave a lecture at the LKY School at his Singapore stop. In the lecture, he shared his vision for Britain – a corruption free country. David Cameron wants to flush “dirty money” out of the country’s economy by throwing light on corrupt investors. Plans are being made for a new property registry for foreign companies, on top of the current register of ownership for British firms, which could be expanded to include overseas companies looking to work with the British government. David Cameron also touched on the 50 years of ‘special friendship’ Britain has with Singapore, and hoped to make a focused bid to increase British trade in Singapore and Asia. He also paid tribute to the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, whom he described as “one of the foremost statesmen of our time”.
