Depois do fim de uma banda chamada Vórtice, lá nos idos de 2003, é formada uma nova banda, com integrantes remanescentes deste projeto, a Aliquid. Foram alguns anos de ensaios e trocas constantes de integrantes, até que em 2009 a banda consegue se estabilizar e gravar um CD demo que foi bem recebido pela crítica especializada, sendo elogiado pelo site Whiplash e pela revista Rock Brigade, dentre outros. A Aliquid tenta não se prender em nenhum subgênero de Heavy Metal, mas utiliza de diversos elementos para tentar fundir o aspecto melódico com um peso inerente, buscando desta maneira, um maior grau de intensidade em suas canções. Em 2015, a Aliquid retoma as atividades com base em São Paulo. Assim, além da mudança de ares, vem também a entrada de novos integrantes. Com muitas músicas na gaveta, a promessa é de que desta vez os próximos trabalhos não tardarão para aparecer. The band Aliquid was founded on the year of 2003, by former members of the band Vórtice. Throughout its first years, there were several changes of its members, until 2009 when, with a stabilized line-up, the band records its first demo CD, which was fairly well received by the specialized critics, being praised by the site Whiplash and by the Rock Brigade magazine, among others. After a hiatus due to new changes in its line-up, the band Aliquid is back in business in 2015, now, located in São Paulo, Brazil. The band values versatility inside the Heavy Metal, incorporating both progressive and melodic aspects, but also preserving the weight inherent to the style, strolling through a vast scale of sonorities, always searching a high level of intensity in its songs. With a new line-up and many songs in the drawer, the promise is that their next works won’t take long to show up.
