Impromptu post chemo update. Sorry for the bumpy camera, I’m a terrible YouTuber 😉 My first round of chemo was on May 17, 2019. My first four rounds (out of eight total) will be AC chemo, so I am receiving Adriamycin “Red Devil” (Doxorubicin) and Cytoxan (Cyclophosphamide). July 12, 2019 I started the second part of my treatment; four rounds of Paclitaxel (Taxol), done every two weeks and eight rounds of Herceptin, done every week (and then every three weeks for a year from the start date). Diagnosis: Locally Advanced Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in left breast with node involvement (possibly up to four nodes but won’t be confirmed until after removal surgery) HER+ | ER/PR- Date of Diagnosis: May 1, 2019 Age at diagnosis: 34 Genetic testing: Negative, variant of uncertain significance BRCA2 retesting in two years Chemotherapies: Adriamycin, Cytoxan, Taxol, and Herceptin Schedule of treatment: eight rounds of Chemotherapy done every two weeks, broken into four rounds of two, lumpectomy with a complete axillary dissection of lymph nodes (ALND) on the left side, 25-35 sessions of radiation, and Herceptin injections every three weeks for one year Surgery Date: Oct 4, 2019 If you have any questions please ask me in the comments section below.
