👍🏼LIKE 📝COMMENT ❤️SUBSCRIBE 🔔 TURN POST NOTIFICATIONS ON ALL Reenendhal Buffelsbaai Garden Route TAKING THE SCENIC ROUTE BEFORE LEAVING FOR MOSSEL BAY We welcome you all to join us in this video as we take a scenic route through the bush to Reenendhal, this quaint little place. Cindy was driving as a rally driver, and I, Graham, was sitting in as a navigator. Our roles were completely reversed lol! As we went along the route we chose, we were utterly amused and intrigued by the beauty we saw in the wild areas. Due to our Jaunti Camper Van parked at a Caravan Park, with the awning setup employed, we decided to use our little Etios, "Dinky Toy", to scoot around about a 50km radius from Jaunti. Amazingly, we found some bridges on the route, and as you probably know, we love our bridges. We stopped and filmed some interesting views of these said bridges and rallied on to our little destination, Nostalgia, where we saw other beautiful things of interest. This Nostalgia shop took us back in time as we saw things and coffee as we knew them years ago. We eventually got to Totties Marketplace, it was Sunday and the market was open, as we entered, we were very apprehensive and astonished at the display which surrounded us, from a model railway line station and train, to art at various stands. We were chatting to an artist who had pieces hanging up on display, beautiful art, he and his wife do. We went into the interior part of the marketplace and saw a familiar artist we met at a Sedgewood marketplace a few weeks prior. We chatted to Shelley Du Plessis, a well-known artist in the area, who summoned us to her gallery at the back to see her beautiful art projects and commissions. We both stood there flabbergasted at the awesome detail in her work, wow! That was all we could say. Her work is above average as far as detail is concerned, finest of strokes used and amazing colour. We then met a trader who gave us the history of Totties and the former.. amazing pictures and story. We were dumbstruck as we realised people came to us and how they all conversed openly, freely and confidently. We were in dreamland lol! It felt really good seeing the old and reminiscing about our youth. Beautiful things flooded our minds. We also saw an old wood mill and couldn't enter as it was closed, probably due to the day or time. As we were headed back to our campsite, we were chatting and reminiscing about our youth and joy. Cindy really enjoyed the off-roading (well, a graded sand road), so I thought it good to let her drive the whole trip. What a pleasant day.
