April 10 saw the return of lockdown in Maharashtra, albeit for the weekend. Streets and beaches wore a deserted look in Mumbai, the state's capital. The usually bustling Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus was empty, with neither passengers nor staff in sight. Very few vehicles were seen plying on the roads. Mumbai's guardian minister Aslam Sheikh took stock of the situation and reviewed implementation of the lockdown. Maharashtra is facing the worst of the latest surge of Covid-19 cases in the country.
