Today we board the train into Boston to explore the Freedom Trail. We begin with a guide at Boston Commons, but decide early on that it isn't as kid friendly as we hoped. Instead, we venture off on our own, checking out the Granary Burial Ground, Kings Church, City Hall, Old South Meeting House, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere's House, and the USS Constitution. We also can't resist getting a treat from Mike's Pastry on the way! It was extremely HOT and crowded on this day in Boston, but it was neat to see all these historical sites. The kids ended the day with getting a new junior ranger badge to add to their collection.
