How to Make Clay Flutes: The Basics

Steven Crawley walks you through the basics of creating a clay flute or whistle. This has become a signature assignment for my ceramics students. I end up making several demonstration pieces during those lessons and find them very satisfying as a functional art object. After several years I've finally gotten the hang of making these and want to pass on that knowledge to my students, fellow teachers or anyone who would like to try making them.
