Most of us have heard of the port of Ostia. Some even call it the port of Rome. However, Ostia was not Rome’s greatest port by engineering and architectural standards. Portus, constructed and modified by a string of the most successful Emperors in Rome’s history, was in a league of its own. This video will show you how the Romans built the seemingly impossible, and relatively unknown, structure called Portus.
