Tabor (and no we don't mean Mount Tabor in Israel) is a small town located in the South Bohemian Region, which was actually named after Mount Tabor, nowadays in Israel. In the 15th century, the Hussites built this town as the center of their holy mission, to cleanse the world and help enact the Last Judgment. Today Tabor attracts visitors from all around the world with its beautiful historical city center where you can visit the Museum of Hussites, enter its unique underground passages and climb the tallest church tower in the Southern Bohemian Region. The train ride was about 1 hour and a half. You can book the train tickets here, we recommend making a seat reservation: https://www.cd.cz/en/default.htm The hotel we stayed in was called Staromestsky pension (it's not a hotel really, it's pension, kind of like a smaller hotel, without reception):https://staromestsky-penzion.penzion.cz/ It was nice, only few minutes walk from the main square. The other hotels in Tabor looked nice too. We recommend climbing the church tower for a beautiful view of Tabor. You pay for the the ticket at the top of the tower. You can only pay by cash and they do not split large bills up there! Come prepared! There is also a nice monastery near Tabor: Klokoty monastery. We didn't manage to show in the video but if you have few hours extra and don't know what else to do in Tabor we recommend to visit it. It's only few minutes walk from Tabor.
