Hi everyone, this is Rohini. Welcome back to my Day 2 vlog! My road trip continued from Shivamogga to Honnavara. My first stop was Sakrebyle Elephant Camp, managed by the Karnataka Forest Department. Here, you get to interact with captive elephants—feeding them, bathing them, and just enjoying their company. The elephants here have such sacred names like Arjuna, Bheema, Raghavendra, Airavatha, and more. Honestly, I loved it! If you visit with kids, they’ll surely enjoy these gentle giants—their cute expressions will melt your heart. After spending two hours with these big babies, I continued my journey, soaking in the beauty of nature all along the way. Soon, the world-famous Jog Falls welcomed me. For us Karnataka 90s kids, Jog Falls is full of nostalgia—we all visited it during college excursions. And let me tell you, the beauty is still same as magical. The hill-station drive towards Honnavara was a unique experience too. The zigzag roads kept the ride exciting, and the viewpoints were simply breathtaking. On the way, I also stopped at Sharavathi Suspension Bridge, which I believe connects two villages in Sagar Taluk. I saw many two-wheelers crossing, but walking across it was an entirely different experience. With the river flowing right below, it felt terrifying yet absolutely amazing. Of course, no trip of mine is complete without visiting a beach! This time, I reached Honnavara Eco Beach and it was evening sunset time. The golden rays, the ocean bed, and the calm vibe were truly unforgettable. I even saw fishermen pulling in their catch—thought I could help them, haha! It was another level of experience, and for the first time, I saw so many fish, crab, prawns so close. After such a beautiful day, I finally headed back home with a gallery full of photos, a heart full of laughter, and memories I’ll always cherish. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. Signing off for now—see you all in my next vlog!
