Pogostemon Helferi: Questa varietà, si contraddistigue dalle altre due (Erectus e Stellatus) appartenenti alla famiglia Lamiaceae, per la sua forma molto particolare: ha un aspetto compatto e solido, le foglie sono a stella ed arricciate sui bordi, il colore è verde chiaro acceso e si differenzia da tutte le altre piante basse. Si riproduce per getti laterali e talee, quindi sarà sufficiente tagliare con forbici affilate gli steli e ripiantarli a gruppetti e ad una distanza di 5 cm circa dalla pianta madre. In natura o in laghetto può riprodursi mediante fioritura e fruttificazione ma generlamente negli acquari è difficile che si verifichi. Quese piante possono essere definite di difficile coltivazione e non adatte ad i neofiti poiché necessitano di un ottima fertilizzazione e forte illuminazione.
