Nov 12, 2024 11:49am Was finally able to film this switching move of the two trains for the 2nd time ever here at Cortena at Lurline Ave. This is where the Cortena and Corning jobs occasionally meet up to swap some cars with one another then each train turns back towards their point or origin working industries along the way back. Cortena heads back south and Corning heads back north. If you remember, I already released an activation and time out crossing video of this crossing since this was the first day I filmed it since its Safetran Hybrid Bell was replaced by a GS Type 3 E-Bell. I realeased an time out video early to get that out the way so I won't have to include new e-bell in the title of this video but that activation was part of the activations in this video. I was glad to get the train going this way because after a few tries in 2024 of coming to this line, each time the Cortena tirned around at Morning Star back south since the trains don't come this way as frequently anymore to swap cars. You have to be lucky to catch them going this way. This allowed me to film thew new bell combo here. I skipped trying to film the new E-Bells at Fairview Rd as I was stuck filming this and the Corning headed back north already whyle the Cortena was finishing. However, I did film Fairview Rd new E-Bells 4 months after this video. Also, note I fast forward part of the switching because this video was a full hour long 4k video and didn't wan't all that. I also filmed this crossing again 4 months later with a shorter video.
