Billy's joined by a special guest on this week's Venom Diaries and they're showing you how we feed our most venomous snakes at the Australian Reptile Park. See how the deadly King Browns and Tiger Snakes get stuck in, and not only to their dinner! He'll also be milking our beautiful snakes for their lifesaving anti-venom. Join Billy as he milks some of the most dangerous snakes in the world to create life-saving anti-venom. 💉 Since the 1950s, the Australian Reptile Park has been the sole suppliers of terrestrial snake venom for the purpose of making anti-venom. It is estimated that 300 lives are saved by anti-venom in Australia each year and since the program’s inception, over 25,000 Australian lives have been saved by the program. The Park is currently home to 250 venomous snakes that are part of the venom program, and are milked on a fortnightly basis. All actions performed in this video are by a highly trained professional. Never attempt approaching or touching a snake unless you are a professional. 🐍 For more venom content follow Billy on Socials! / bill_collett_ / bill_collett 🐊 Follow & Subscribe to the Australian Reptile Park! @AustralianReptilePark / australianreptilepark / australianreptilepark #venomdiaries #snakes #australia Chapters: 00:00 Welcome to Venom Diaries 00:24 Meet special guest Matty 02:23 What we feed the snakes 02:52 Feeding a King Brown! 03:27 How Billy feeds the snakes 04:39 See how the snake devours the rat! 06:15 A snake at its most vulnerable! 07:21 Feeding the display King Brown 09:05 How often are snakes fed? 09:56 Milking the snakes 14:05 Final snake milking 14:21 Really big Brown Snake!
