Let's celebrate: the plants are all tucked in for their winter slumber! I love beginning and endings and that applies to gardening as well. I'm always excited to bring out all my tropicals, succulents, and citrus for the warmer months. But I also enjoy slowly storing them away when fall gets cooler. In Iowa (zone 5), I cannot keep these plants outdoors year-round. Sad, I know! I use radiant space heaters to keep the room around 60-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Forced heat would dry the plants out much quicker than radiant. I lined the room with plant racks and stainless steel tables. The best situation would be to spread the plants out for proper air circulation, but I have a lot of plants! The room isn’t perfect but works well! #winter #fall #plants #plantroom
