Haghartsin Monastery & Hidden waterfall hike

Dilijan is situated within the Dilijan National Park. It is a great location to explore the area from. There are also a number of monasteries in the area. We visited the Haghartsin Monastery. Unfortunately it started tipping down rain as we got there. Although there are many picnic places along the route, none worked for us. We decided to drive back down to town and camped there. The benefit of camping at the edge of town was that we were close to restaurants! We did the “hidden waterfall” hike and a section of the Trans Caucasian Trail (TCT). We continued on the TCT until we encountered a farm with some aggressive dogs. Time to turn around. We celebrated Monique’s birthday in Dilijan.
